Donations – an important part of any successful business
This is the time of year when we acknowledge that everyone in the world has had someone sacrifice something for them at some point in their life.  As such, we must all be grateful and be willing to give back to society, not just at this holiday time, but all year long. Donations and gifts are often not about money, because time to many is more important than a physical gift. 

Every successful business markets itself and part of that success involves the owner giving of him or herself.  You may have been told that you couldn't change the world. However, we once sat down and within an hour came up with over 250 ways that everyone could. For every positive action, there will always be an equally positive reaction. 

Here are some tips to consider when making donations or providing gifts:
"Philosophy and ethics of your organization.  Ensure what you give goes directly for the purpose you intended it to.
"Legal structure. Is it a registered as a legal charity or non profit organization?
"Are there tax breaks for the donations? (do not be critical, this is a benefit)
"Are there any marketing benefits (coverage, sponsorship, etc.)?

The most important consideration in donations is the act of GIVING.  The act of giving will provide your business with moments that will be forever priceless.  We believe what you give will come back ten-fold, often at times and in ways when least expected but most appreciated. What are you ready to give? There is someone who needs your help, especially at this holiday time of year.
